As a PhD Candidate in English at the CUNY Graduate Center (defending next week), I've been working as an Instructional Technology Fellow at the Macaulay honors college, where I guide students and faculty in using online technologies and multi-media to achieve their educational goals.

My own research concerns Walt Whitman, phrenology, and the cultural significance of materialist accounts of mind in the antebellum United States. I'm interested in how writers like Whitman respond to the philosophical and existential implications of advances in neuroscience, both today as well as the nineteenth century.

In my spare time, I've been developing a freelance career in videogame 'writing': providing copy and story and character concepts for games apart from the tech side of development.
