I am an associate professor of English at the University of Virginia, where I also direct NINES, a digital scholarly organization devoted to nineteenth-century studies. I served as PI for a Google DH grant that supported the development of Juxta, and for an NEH IADTH grant on evaluating digital scholarship. I am the author of _Anger, Revolution, and Romanticism_ (Cambridge UP, 2005), and I'm working on a book called _Postcard from the Volcano: The Troubled Archive of Nineteenth Century Literature_.
